Parenting Education Helps Employees Focus on Work

Working parents make up more two-thirds of the workforce in Kenya. Parenting or child–rearing and working are the two major obligations of every working parent. While both work and family are important at the same time to all working parents, combining work and parenting can lower the ability of the working parent to give enough time to the family.

Also, the work generated stress is most likely to negatively effect the private life as well the parenting style, which could as well have a negative impact to the children.

On the other hand, challenges in parenting can interfere with a worker’s ability do their duties at workplace. As is with any working parent, the private life issues will not vanish when they come through the workplace entrance, they will take the home stress with them to their workplaces.  The home stress mostly could come mostly from the parenting challenges the parent have, which could be from toddler tantrums, sleep-deprived nights, fussy eaters, messy rooms, childcare issues, sick children, homework hassles, misbehaving and disobedient teenager, poor school grade and many other. The stress from home affect the worker ability to concentrate at work.

The working parent would be having a stressful life on trying to balance the work and the family life/parenting, in which if no balance found then both areas will be negatively affected.  Therefore, it would be important that the employers support the employees by giving them Parenting classes, which will help the working parent to find solutions to parenting challenges they could face on the way and which will help to minimize the family stress.

Our Parenting Education packages makes it easy and affordable for the employers to give parenting classes to their workers and help them to improve the work-life balance and which will also have these positive impacts;
