The Mummy-toto Lactation suite is a self-contained portable lactation pod that is quick to assemble and can be placed conveniently at the client’s location. It is the perfect place where a nursing mother can breastfeed her child or express her milk in privacy while at work or away from home.

The Installation of the suite is done on site by our personnel. Graphics for the interior and exterior sides of the unit can be customized or chosen from our standard options.
The room comes with all the amenities a mother would need to breastfeed, express milk or nurse a child.

2. Refrigerator Model Lactation pod

• In addition to all of the features of Standard Model breastfeeding Pod, the refrigerator model also comes with a compact refrigerator 2.6 cu.ft to store expressed milk.
• It has Lockable cabinet.
• This model has one seating area.

3. Premium model Lactation pod

Premium features can be added to both standard and refrigerator pod models. The customer can choose any or all of the features to be added to the Lactation pod for purpose of extra comfort.

Location for the Lactation Pod
The Mummy-toto lacatation suite is designed for indoor use.  The advantage of this lactation pod is that it need small space to place it.  Therefore, it can be placed in the corridors, next to the lifts or in a corner of an office or hall.  However, the location should not be inside a restroom to comply with Kenya’s Health Act and the upcoming Breastfeeding Mothers’ Act 2017. The Unit Must not be used for diaper changing since it is not a restroom. The unit also needs to be near a water point to comply with legal requirements.

Controlling Temperature

The Mummy-toto Lactation Suite is designed for indoor use. The materials used for construction  give a cool  atmosphere inside the pod. The top part of the pod is also made with ventilation to allow air to freely circulate into and out

of the unit. The unit will therefore remain within the same temperature range as your climate control system. We recommend that unit be placed at a location in your facility where there is adequate overhead space and where it can benefit from the air vents and air conditioning within the building.  However, for building with poor air circulation, then a mini Air exhauster will be installed in the pod ceiling.

Usage Guidelines & Messaging Inside the Unit
You may want to set usage guidelines detailing the etiquette expected to make sure the suite isn’t misused. However, any messaging to that effect should be polite and not sound condescending or rude.
The general usage guidelines are as follows:

• It is the responsibility of everyone using the lactation room to maintain a clean room ready for the next user. All breast milk spills must be cleaned using the cleaning solutions provided.
• Mothers’ using the refrigerator unit need to label their milk bottles before storage
• The room should be left clean for the courtesy of the next user.
• Limit use of the space to activities associated with breastfeeding and expression of breast milk.
  Other rules will depend on the rules and preferences of each client.
  We recommend you place signage inside the suite indicating a phone number to call in your facility in case a mother needs any assistance while she is inside.

Helping Mothers’ Find the Mummy-toto Lactation Suite

To help mothers’ find the suite at your facility, we recommend you place appropriate signage. Each suite comes with print-ready sticker artwork that can be placed outside of your women’s restrooms and throughout your facility letting mothers know there is a designated place for them to pump or breastfeed privately.

Benefits of acquiring a Mummy-toto Lactation pod compared to setting a breastfeeding room
